A Unified Field Theory of Moochers

Brad DeLong: I cannot but think, although I do wish it were otherwise, that I wrote the right review of Nick Eberstadt's A Nation of Takers. It still seems to me that the most interesting question is the one I tried to wrestle with: why do the AEI and its political masters believe so in their Theory of the Moocher Class?
